Offering probiotic-rich foods is a great thing to do for your kid's health.
RECIPE
AGE | 8+ months
INGREDIENTS
4 tbsp plain greek yogurt (unsweetened, with live cultures / probiotic cultures)
2 tbsp sauerkraut brine (buy sauerkraut refrigerated to get all the benefits)
1/2 cup of chopped herbs (I used mint, thyme and cilantro)
1 pinch of salt and pepper (no salt for baby under 12 months)
PREPARATION
Add everything to a bowl and mix...that's all. ;)
Greek yogurt and sauerkraut (also just the brine) are high in probiotics and great for strengthening your and your kid's digestion and overall health. Probiotic strains help diversify the beneficial bacteria in your gut and will support your kid's overall well-being.
This dip is great to serve with meat and vegetables or even offer on a spoon for your baby. For baby-led weaning, add some of the dip on any vegetables or meats (finger-shaped, easily squished between index finger and thumb)
